Three years a professional - then the rhythm finally came.

The challenge

Three years into professional cricket, the feel he wanted at the crease still was not there. The problem was rhythm in his trigger movements - the setup everything else in an innings is built on.

The process

Sessions during a stint in the UK in April 2026, worked from how his body actually wanted to feel and flow at the crease rather than a technique imposed on top of it. In his words, it opened his eyes to solutions he had been seeking for a while.

The outcome

Back-to-back fifties a couple of weeks later, with intent and decision-making clear and decisive enough to adjust to the change in English conditions.

Batting 11 with no technique. An all-rounder in six months.

The challenge

After his first year of school cricket he was an opening bowler who batted 11. In his own words, he lacked any skill when it came to batting and his technique was practically non-existent.

The process

Six months of work that built a batting method around how he wanted to play - a more aggressive approach - rather than around a textbook, plus the clarity and confidence to back it.

The outcome

Promoted to number 5 for the start of the season as a genuine all-rounder, a top score of 78 in interleague cricket, and selection into the Lancashire county pathway by the end of the year.

From the very first time she picked up a bat to county cricket.

The challenge

Erika had never played a cricket match when she started in early 2024. There were no bad habits to unpick and no significant challenges - the whole job was building the fundamentals of the game from nothing.

The process

Two years developing every aspect of her game: not only the technical skills, but a much stronger understanding of cricket and how it is played. Jameel has coached her since the very first time she picked up a bat.

The outcome

Selected to represent Lancashire County Under-13s at just 10 years old.

Lancashire pathway, club 1st XI

A leg spinner who batted. Now a top-order batter who bowls.

The challenge

At under-11s his strength was bowling. He was in the Lancashire setup but not scoring runs, rarely getting to bowl, and still trying to find his place in the team. Batting was the gap - shot range, making an impact, and balance at the crease.

The process

Skills work that grew with him. As he got older and physically stronger the batting came, and with it a range of shots he can take into any match scenario, at club and at Lancashire. The mental side moved too: reading the game situation, working out what it needs, and putting a bad shot behind him to go again.

The outcome

A first interleague century at under-12s. His first senior century in 2026. Selected for the 1st XI, second highest run scorer for Lancashire in 2025, and part of the side that won the league that year.
