Program 03 - Developing better cricketers.

Academy Groups

The JSCA Academy is a structured pathway for ambitious cricketers who want to develop every part of their game. Coaching is purposeful: technical skill, movement, decision-making, game awareness and confidence, trained in environments that reflect the demands of modern cricket. Players train in the programme that suits their current stage, so everyone gets the right balance of challenge, support and individual attention.

/ Stages

Train in the right environment.

01

Foundation Academy

Ages 9-11

Building the foundations.

An introduction to the skills young cricketers need to enjoy and succeed in hardball cricket. Sessions build confidence, movement and coordination alongside the fundamentals of batting, bowling and fielding, in a positive learning environment.

  • Batting, bowling and fielding fundamentals
  • Athletic movement and coordination
  • Confidence and positive habits
  • Early decision-making and game understanding

02

Development Academy

Ages 11-14

Developing complete cricketers.

As players grow, training becomes more challenging and more representative. Players improve technically while learning how to think, adapt and compete - solving problems, making better decisions and performing more consistently.

  • Technical development across all three disciplines
  • Tactical awareness and match understanding
  • Decision-making under increasing pressure
  • Athleticism and competitive habits

03

Performance Academy

Ages 14-17

High-performance coaching for ambitious players.

A demanding environment for players serious about improving. Training reflects the demands of modern cricket through purposeful practice, technical development, tactical understanding and decision-making under pressure. Players are assessed, then placed in the environment that best supports their stage of development.

  • Advanced batting and bowling development
  • Tactical awareness and decision-making
  • Performance under pressure
  • A competitive mindset and individual improvement plan
